Practitioner Spotlight: Meet Jane Ainsworth, Naturopath & Energy Healer

We’re so delighted to welcome Jane Ainsworth to the Ease Wellness community — a deeply intuitive and experienced Naturopath whose work is grounded in compassion, connection, and whole-person healing.

Jane has been supporting women through life’s many seasons for over 25 years. From preconception and early motherhood to the often-overlooked transitions of perimenopause and menopause, Jane brings wisdom, presence, and practical support to every stage of the journey. Her approach blends the science of herbal and nutritional medicine with the insight of iridology and the energetic depth of healing work — offering truly holistic care for body, mind, and spirit.

In this Q&A, we sit down with Jane to learn more about her story, her passion for supporting women in their 40s and 50s, and what clients can expect when working with her. Whether you’re feeling stretched thin by life’s demands or simply seeking a deeper connection to your health and vitality, Jane offers a calm and steady presence to help you return home to yourself.

Helping women and families thrive.

Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background? I’ve lived in the Inner West for more than half my life and absolutely love the strong sense of community here. I’ve been a practising Naturopath for 25 years, and my areas of focus have naturally evolved alongside my own life journey. I began by supporting women through preconception and pregnancy, then worked closely with mothers as they navigated the early years of motherhood.

These days, my passion lies in supporting women in their 40s and 50s — a time of incredible change and often competing demands. Many women in this stage are balancing work, career pivots, family, kids and teenagers, ageing parents, and the physical and emotional shifts of peri-menopause and menopause. It’s a period where self-care can easily fall to the bottom of the list, yet it’s when our bodies and minds need it most.

My role is to help women reconnect with themselves, restore balance, and find the energy and clarity to thrive through this next chapter.

Q: What is your area of expertise, and what services do you offer at Ease Wellness?

As a naturopath, I love supporting women through all stages of life and all aspects of their health.

Whether you’re dealing with digestive issues, stress, anxiety, low mood, sleep troubles, or hormonal changes like PMS, period pain, peri-menopause, or menopause — I’m here to help you find balance and feel more like yourself again. Headaches, fatigue, and those nagging little symptoms that just won’t go away often have deeper causes, and together we can explore what your body is really trying to tell you.

In my consultations, I draw on a blend of herbal medicine, nutrition, iridology, and energy healing. Each of these tools offers a unique way to understand and support your wellbeing — from restoring physical balance to calming the mind and nurturing emotional health.

Every treatment plan is personalised, because no two women are the same. My goal is to help you feel empowered, connected, and in tune with your body once more.

Q: What do you love most about the work you do?

One of the things I love most about my work is seeing the transformation that can happen in just one session. So many women come in feeling tired, stressed, or a little defeated — unsure where to start or wondering if they can ever feel like themselves again. By the end of the consultation, when I see their shoulders soften, their faces brighten, and that spark of hope return — it reminds me why I do what I do.

What I find even more beautiful is when women begin to reconnect with their inner selves — their soul, their intuition, their own natural healing power. Watching someone realise that they already have everything they need within them to heal and thrive is incredibly rewarding. My role is simply to help guide that process, to create the space and offer the tools that support the body, mind, and spirit to come back into balance.

Q: Who do you most love to work with?

I love working with people who are open to change! This is often women who may feel frazzled and overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life, but are looking for a shift. Often, they’re balancing work, family, and countless projects and responsibilities, leaving little time or energy to care for themselves. My goal is to help women rediscover self-care in a way that feels nourishing, not like another task on their to-do list.

It’s incredibly rewarding to witness women reconnect with their own needs and begin to prioritise themselves again. Many of them are navigating health challenges—chronic pain, digestive issues, hormonal changes, or mood swings—that have gradually dimmed their spark. Watching their energy return, their symptoms ease, and their joy for life reignite is truly the most fulfilling part of what I do.

Q: What can someone expect in a first session with you?

An initial naturopathic consultation is a gentle, in-depth look at your whole health. We’ll talk about your health history, body systems (such as digestion and cardiovascular), diet, exercise, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and any medications you take. I’ll also use iridology, looking into your eyes to gain deeper insight into what’s happening within your body. The initial consultation is 1.5 hours and follow-up sessions are 1 hour.

From there, I’ll create a personalised treatment plan just for you. This may include tailored dietary and lifestyle guidance, nutritional or herbal support, or an energy healing session.

An energy healing session is a deeply relaxing experience. You’ll lie comfortably, fully clothed, on a massage table while soft music and gentle lighting help you unwind. I’ll guide you through a calming relaxation and tune into your energy, allowing an intuitive conversation to unfold. Together, we’ll explore and release old patterns, emotional blocks, and past hurts, finishing by setting positive intentions for your future. You’re welcome to ask questions at any time. The first session lasts 2 hours, and follow-up sessions are 1.5 hours.

Q: Why do you feel a holistic approach to health is so important?

When treating someone holistically, it’s essential to look at every aspect of their health – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. All of these parts of you are deeply interconnected; an imbalance in one area can often affect another. True healing comes from addressing the whole person, not just the symptoms.

This is why I combine the wisdom of herbal medicine and nutrition, the insight of iridology, and the gentle support of energy healing.

By weaving together these approaches, I can create a truly personalised path toward wellness—supporting your body’s natural ability to heal, restoring balance, and helping you feel more connected, grounded, and vibrant in every aspect of your life.

Q: What does being part of Ease Wellness mean to you?

It’s such a privilege to work in a space that’s so supportive and connected. At Ease Wellness, we’re a team of practitioners who share the same goal — to help our clients feel balanced, healthy, and at ease.  There’s a real sense of community and collaboration here, and I love that we can draw on each other’s strengths to create the best possible outcomes for the people we care for.

We’re passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported — a place where they can relax, open up, and be gently guided on their own health journey.

Q: What inspires you most in your personal life?

When I’m not in the clinic, I love spending time with my two teenage children and our bunnies. We often escape to my family’s farms in Wollombi — being in nature is so grounding and good for my soul. I love waterfalls, soft cheese, music, singing, ocean swims, cuddles with my kids, and getting my hands into the garden.

I feel incredibly lucky to have a wonderful network of friends and family who support me in both life and work. I’m especially grateful for the beautiful ‘village’ of women around me — spending time with them fills my cup and reminds me of the power of connection.

If you’ve been feeling stretched, out of balance, or ready to prioritise your wellbeing again, Jane offers a gentle, grounded, and deeply personalised approach to help you reconnect with yourself. Her sessions are a space to feel heard, supported, and guided back to a place of clarity and vitality.

We’re so thrilled to have her as part of our team — and we know you will be too.
